A lover’s blush spreads across the horizon
The rosy hues flow and intertwine
A dusky purple, a buttery yellow, a silky blue
All smear across a feverish crimson
Harshly breathing, immersed in clouds
Smolders the sweltering sun
Its pulsing rays slashing through
As tempestuous grey floods
Tearing the seams of jeweled cloth
Stitched clumsily above our eyes
Stains of ebony ink splatter the canvas
As night swallows the sky
